Tourist Information | Eating Out | Other Services

Criccieth is an ideal place to hold a festival, thanks to the tremendous range of accommodation and other readily available services. Criccieth can offer guests anything from a tent in a field to luxury 3 star accommodation!

The
Criccieth Tourist Information Service CTIS is a good place to see the scope of what Criccieth & District has to offer, including B&Bs, Guest Houses, Hotels, Apartments & Cottages, Camp Sites and Caravan Parks. Some information is sadly out of date, but it is otherwise a comprehensive list of all services and accommodation. It does not offer a booking service nor are businesses quality rated.

For the local Tourist Board accommodation list, please contact a
Tourist Information Centre (TIC). All TICs offer a comprehensive listing of North Wales Tourism Members (but exclude non-members, of which there are many). The closest TIC is in Porthmadog.
visit a TIC in person or visit their
website or contact them:

Tel:
(01766) 512981 or 514188
Fax: (01766) 515312

Porthmadog TIC is situated opposite the petrol filling station on the High Street near the harbour bridge and Ffestiniog Railway. It is open daily all year round and staff will be pleased to advise, check availability and can even book accommodation on your behalf.

TICs are also situated in Betws-y-Coed, Corris, Harlech, Llanberis Pwllheli opposite the train station, Caernarfon opposite the Castle entrance and other locations throughout North Wales.

"I had an uncle with braces and a banjo in a cupboard and three aunts with voices. With a few sharp words, well-fitted Hester's, pure de Lessops, cut canals. At one hundred paces Hortense could pop the rivets of a railway viaduct while gentle Esther, my most beloved aunt, sighed when she spoke; her soft, kind voice entranced like the dusty sound of an harmonium played in the sunshaft of a quiet room"
Edgar Macck,
An Imagined Childhood
